About Me

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi, I'm Abdul Muhaymin

I am a graduate researcher at the Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology (UNAM), Bilkent University, where I study optically active defect centers in wide-bandgap semiconductors using first-principles electronic-structure methods.

My research interests span computational materials science, quantum defect engineering, and solid-state quantum technologies. I primarily work with Density Functional Theory (DFT) and advanced excited-state techniques โ€” cDFT/ฮ”SCF, GW, and BSE โ€” to understand the optical and spin properties of transition-metalโ€“related color centers in materials like ZnS and MgO.
